Ubuntu Update from Command Line

Sometimes when I log into one of my virtual machines, I see:

26 packages can be updated.
20 updates are security updates.

That sounds like a good idea. Here is how:

sudo apt-get update # Fetches the list of available updates
sudo apt-get upgrade # Strictly upgrades the current packages
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade # Installs updates (new ones)
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo reboot
